Alex "Daddy" Wonk legte 1992 in London mit seiner Band "The Flying Medallions" den Grundstein für das, was heute Wonk Unit ist: Eine in Europa einzigartige Band mit eigenem Sound, eigenem Humor, eigenem Festival und tief verwurzeltem DIY Background. Alex Brindle Johnson ist dabei als Lead Singer, Poet, Skater, Stage Perfomer und kreativer Motor das Herz der Band, von der nicht wenige behaupten, dass es das derzeit Spannendste sei, was es auf Europas Punkrockbühnen zu sehen gibt. Die neue Compilation enthält insgesamt 16 Songs aus der gesamten Schaffensphase der Band sowie das brandneue Stück CYCLISTS SONG, welches die Band speziell für diese Platte aufgenommen hat. Alex "Daddy" Wonk laid the foundation for what is now the Wonk Unit in London in 1992 with his Band "The Flying Medallions". A band that is unique in Europe with its own sound, its own humor, its own festival and a deeply rooted DIY Background. Alex Brindle Johnson as the lead singer but also poet, skater, stage performer and creative motor is the heart of the band. Several claim that WONK UNIT is currently the most exciting thing happening on Europe´s punk rock stages.
Additionally, music and songs that have no sense of genre borders but at the same time portray exactly what Alex Brindle Johnson and therefore Work Unit are. For years Punk has needed new input and Wonk Unit deliver exactly that.

THE FALL AND RISE OF WONK UNIT AND THE PWSOISION FROM CROYDON is the new Best of Compilation and successor of the 2015 compilation PWOSION IDEA: FEEL THE WONKNESS. The new compilation contains a total of 16 songs from the entire creative period of the band as well as the brand new track CYCLISTS SONG, which the band recorded especially for this record. The album gives a great overview of the band’s work, Alex Daddy Wonks songwriting skills and the passion of not giving a fuck about genre boundaries. The LP comes with a colourful, flat vinyl, heavy cardboard cover and special UV gloss finish. There is also an inlay card in LP size and a download code.
